Meet the Editors

Dear Victoria School,

As Nathaniel Sorochan tosses his cap and waves goodbye to Vic he leaves behind a legacy, part of that including The Victoria Voice newspaper. To take his place as editor, he foolishly decided to leave it up to us. So, hello! We’re the editors of the Victoria Voice. Danica Wilson-Moody and Grace Tunski are two 11th grade students with a passion for writing, activism, arts and Gordon the Tortoise.

Often, when we mention the newspaper to fellow Vic students we’re met with the same reply, “we have a newspaper?” However, we’re here to change that. Obviously, if you’re here, you know that we have The Victoria Voice but this upcoming year we plan to branch out further. By increasing our community engagement, connecting with local figures and creating a platform for our very own students, we plan to grow this newspaper into a pillar of our school. Starting September 2020 (with a few sporadic summer posts), we’ll be sharing a plethora of exciting material.

In times like these it’s never been more important to connect with each other. As part of our new vision, we plan to help increase the support of Vic artists. So whether you make music, poetry, visual art or anything in between, your work is welcome here. To submit something you’d like to share, simply contact either of us (emails addresses below!)

We’re both incredibly excited for the year to come. Thank you for taking the time to read this, take care and have a safe summer.

Sincerely,

Danica Wilson-Moody and Grace Tunski
