Black Business and Professional Association

The Black Business and Professional Association has scholarships for students of all backgrounds and future plans, including:

The LGBTQ Scholarship

The BBPA LGBTQ Scholarship recognizes an outstanding student from the LGBTQ community who wishes to pursue higher education at the college or university level.

It will be awarded to a student who has completed high school, exhibits academic performance, social contribution and statements of personal need.

The BBPA Skilled Trades Scholarship

This Scholarship recognizes an outstanding student who wishes to pursue a skilled trade of their preference. We recognize the need to bridge the gap between business and our youth, to promote economic community at the person, industry, and national level. It will be awarded to a student who has completed high school, exhibits academic performance, social contribution and statements of personal need.

BBPA Future Leaders Scholarships

Awarded to students that are the first in their family to attend university or college as well as other qualified applicants. 

The Black Education Fund

The Black Education Fund awards Black Canadian students who show academic excellence and community engagement throughout their education with the goal of breaking down financial barriers for Black students. 



Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program - UBC

A scholarship for Black students attending the University of British Columbia. You can apply for this scholarship as part of your UBC application!


Jamaican Canadian Association
There are a TON of scholarships provided by the Jamaican Canadian Association! There are more general awards, as well as some for specific areas of study, such as  STEM, Education, Music, Business, Social Justice, and Performing Arts. Check them out, you’ll probably find something that works for you!
